Description
Walk in the boots of a southern Iowa farmer and cattleman. This book includes early memories, stories of relatives, health matters, interaction with farm livestock and pets, and much more. With numerous anecdotes and a few jokes, it’s a pleasant read for anyone who farms, has farmed, was raised on a farm or is interested in what farm life was and is like. The author was raised by parents who were young adults during the Depression. They were poor at times but didn’t know it. This left Ol’ Farmer Dave and his wife with an appreciation for the things that really matter in life. The events of their lives create a tapestry that is woven throughout the book.
